Service Description
The Family Court issues the Decree of Divorce to effectively end Marriages. We can assist with legal advice and completing your Divorce Order. WHAT DOES THIS INVOLVE? Divorce is a separate process to a property division and children's matters. The application is made to the Family Court of Western Australia, and can include a Court appearance by the Applicant or solicitor. WHAT IS THE COST? The Family Court has a filing fee of $1,125 for the application, or $375 concession. There may also be service fees applicable. We have a trusted Process Server. Their fees will be included. Your initial consultation may take up to two (2) hours. Plus there will likely be additional time for correspondence with the other party and preparation of documents, filing and Court representation as necessary, which is additional hours billable. Our usual fees are [ reduced rate] of $400/ hour + gst. However, we offer this service at a capped rate of $2,500 or $1,700 for concession holders, which covers all of the above, and is guaranteed not to be exceeded. WHAT NEXT? Cancellation Policy
Appointments are subject to final approval by the Principal and should not be taken as confirmed until you have received an email or text to this effect. The practice may call you for more details to proceed with an appointment. All Appointments are subject to screening processes for client conflicts, suitability of service and any other relevant factors. Please note, rarely appointments may be subject to change by the practice due to urgency of Court Matters, should this occur you will be given no less than twenty-four hours notice, where possible.
